On January 17-19, 2024, Rishal Asri (D3), a member of the energy system laboratory, participated in a virtual conference called “International Conference on Green Energy, Computing and Sustainable Technology” (GECOST 2024). Curtin University Malaysia and the IEEE PES Malaysia chapter organized this annual event. During the conference, Rishal Asri presented his research on “The Study of Shared Energy Storage Considering Battery Degradation on Remote Island”. The results of his study produce energy storage scenarios that can reduce operational costs while extending the duration of battery use. The conference attracted researchers from various countries, and 197 papers were presented. It is believed that this conference will significantly impact a sustainable and green future.
